Fall 2000 Class of Candidates named in
honor of Illustrious Charles J. McCarty, 33°

The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in the Valley of Cleveland takes great pleasure in naming the fall class of candidates in honor of
 Ill.·. Charles J. McCarty, 33°, Past Grand High Priest of The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons and Past Thrice Potent Master of Eliadah Lodge of Perfection.

The fall reunion will be held in the Cleveland Masonic Center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 16-17-18.

Illustrious Brother McCarty was born and raised in the Cleveland area. He is a graduate of Case Institute of Technology with a degree in engineering. He retired from the Naval Systems Division of Westinghouse in 1993 after 23 years.

His Masonic affiliations include: Past Master of Euclid Lodge no. 599; Past High Priest and Past Treasurer of Mount Olive Chapter no. 189; Past Eminent Commander and present officer of Coer de Lion Commandery no. 64; and a member of Woodward Council no. 118. He received the Honorary DeMolay Legion of Honor in 1998.

In the Scottish Rite he served as Thrice Potent Master of Eliadah Lodge of Perfection from 1986 to 1988. He was coroneted a 33rd degree mason in Cincinnati in 1986. He is presently a member of the Board of Governors for the 32° Masonic Learning Center.

He and his wife Ann have been associated for the past six years with the Acacia Park Cemetery, he as Superintendent, and she as secretary.

The McCartys are members of Nottingham Baptist Church in Willoughby Hills.
