Five newly Coroneted 33° Masons
honored at reception

 

Five newly crowned 33rd degree Masons were recognized in the Valley of Cleveland as Illustrious brethren. Those in attendance included Ill.·. Jeffrey J. Black, 33°, of North Royalton; Ill.·. Charles E. Hawley, 33° of Valley City, Ill.·. Warren S. Johnson, 33°, of Lakewood, Ill.·. Morton S. Negin, 33°, of Mentor, and Ill.·. Robert W. Thomas, 33°, of Newbury. Not able to attend were Illustrious Brethren Oliver A. Murphy of Chagrin Falls, , and Russell J. Warren of Lyndhurst.

Serving as Master of Ceremonies was Ill.·. Stephen J. Krekus, 33°, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Valley of Cleveland, and Ill.·. Robert J. Hibjan, 33°, Deputy Representative for the State of Ohio who assisted Illustrious Brother Krekus in presenting the five newly crowned brethren with the jewels and caps symbolic of their high station in the Valley of Cleveland. Brethren who were unable to attend the reception, will receive their caps and jewels at a later date.

Each honoree spoke of their high regard for the Scottish Rite and the honor that has been bestowed upon them. They were also very appreciative of the recognition they had received.

Ill.·. Warren S. Johnson, 33°, thanks the brethren in attendance at the Illustrious 33rd degree recognition reception held Saturday evening, October 7th in the banquet hall of the Cleveland Masonic Center. Newly coroneted 33rds also in attendance included Illustrious Brethren Jeffrey J. Black, Charles E. Hawley, Morton S. Negin, and Robert W. Thomas.

 

A specially decorated cake was baked in honor of the newly crowned brethren. The cake was prominently displayed and showed the names of the brethren who had achieved the honor.
