The itinerary for our Cape Cod Adventure has been finalized. We leave on Monday, July 8th and return on Saturday, July 13th. The day by day details are as follows: Day 1--Monday, July 8th (D) We leave the BRT Garage at 7 a.m. and head for Mystic CT. with appropriate stops along the way. Lunch is on your own at the Country Cupboard. Our first overnight is in Mystic. Dinner this evening will be at the Seamen’s Inne. Day 2-- Tuesday, July 9 (B.D.) Following breakfast, we will tour Mystic enroute to Cape Cod. We will pick up our our tour guide in Hyannis. We’ll visit the Kennedy’s Church, St. Francis Xavier, and the inspiring Kennedy Memorial. Next we will motor to Sandwich, the oldest community on the Cape. A visit to the Heritage Plantation will be the highlight of our touring day. After checking into our hotel (our home for the rest of our stay on the Cape), we will have dinner and entertainment tonight. Day 3--Wednesday, July 10 (B,D) After breakfast our guide will escort us to the artsy community of Provincetown. Here we will go on a spectacular whale watch to observe these Leviathans of the deep. A professional naturalist will be on board to direct us through one of the most delightful experiences of our Cape Cod Adventure. Upon returning to land, we will have time to explore the many shops and galleries that line the harbor and grab a bite to eat on your own. Next we will visit the nautically themed Provincetown Museum featuring many displays of whaling memorabilia. On our way back to our hotel, we will stop at the National Seashore to learn about the ecology of this unique region. Time permitting, a stop will be made at the Christmas Tree Shop where it’s always 50% off. Dinner tonight is at an upscale restaurant. Day 4 --Thursday, July 11 (B, D) After breakfast, our guide will accompany us to Newport, R.I., the summer playground of the rich and famous. We will take a ten mile ocean drive along the rocky Atlantic coast to see some of the most beautiful mansions ever constructed. (On TV they are called America’s Castles). Next we will embark on a narrated cruise on the sparkling waters of Narragansett Bay and Newport Harbor. Back on shore we will have free time in the Brick Market area for lunch on your own, and some browsing. This afternoon we will tour one of the Castles we saw on the drive in the morning. Dinner this evening will be a seaman’s delight, a traditional New England Lobster Bake with all the trimmings. (Steak will also be available.) Day 5-- Friday, July 12 (B.D) Following breakfast, our tour guide will escort us on a voyage to Nantucket, once the center of America’s whaling industry. Here we cab explore the many monuments and museums built to honor whaling captains and their brave crews, or just stroll the cobblestone streets to enjoy the many fine shops, galleries and restaurants. Another delicious dinner is planned for the evening. Day 6--July 13, (B,L) Breakfast, baggage service and checkout and we leave for home. We will make rest stops along the way and stop for lunch at the Savoy Restaurant in Rome, N.Y. After lunch we will continue our homeward trek making rest stops and a short dinner stop arriving back at BRT Garage late Saturday night. The above itinerary is confirmed, however itineraries can be subject to change due to circumstances and conditions beyond our control. The cost for the trip is $660 per person double occupancy; single occupancy is $904; triple occupancy cost is $600 per person; and quad occupancy is $568 per person. Included in the cost
is: We have fifty (50) seats available. Seats will be assigned on a first come basis along with the proper down payment. Telephone reservations will not be accepted. For your convenience, a payment schedule has been set up. Equal payments of the balance are due on the first of February, March, April, May, and a final payment in full on June 1st. For reservations made after February 1st, the down payment per person is $160 plus the March 1st payment so that you are current with the payment schedule. The cancellation policy is a full refund if cancelled on or before May 1, 2002. After May 1, a $25 service fee will be charged. After June 1, a replacement passenger must be found before any refund can be made. Of course any time a replacement is found, a full refund will be made. |
