Mummer of the Year Award
Roy Nilsen to be recognized at
Valley of Cleveland Travel program March 10th

Roy Nilsen, a member of the Valley of Cleveland for 24 years, will be recognized by the brethren of the valley for being selected Mummer of the year. The presentation of the 2001 year award will be presented prior to the Travel and Adventure series program on Sunday, March 10th.

Roy has been chairman of the Valley of Cleveland Wardrobe and costume committee for the past six years. It is through his efforts that the players in the several Scottish Rite Degrees are robed from head to toe appropriately.

Roy is a member of Cleveland Lodge no. 781, (formerly Lake Erie-Roosevelt), guard of Thatcher Chapter, R.A.M., and Sentinel of Forest City Commandery, Knights Templar.

He is also a past patron of Ellbrook Chapter, O.E.S. His wife, Venita, is a Past District Deputy Grand Matron for the State of Ohio. His son Robert is a Past Master of Fairview Lodge no. 699.

Roy and Venita reside in Fairview Park.

Congratulation Brother Nilsen on this significant Scottish Rite achievement. We really appreciate your efforts and attention to detail as The Valley of Cleveland presents their reunions.
