Need a tax deduction? Plan a gift this year to the Valley of Cleveland Charitable Foundation! By Wilbur B. Smith, 33° When was the last time you were in our Scottish Rite Masonic Building? If it’s been a while...you’re in for a big surprise. Over the past two years, considerable remodeling and refurbishing has been accomplished. However, we still have a long way to go to complete the work. A little over a year ago, the Trustees of the Valley of Cleveland formed a Foundation to allow gifts to the Foundation to be deductible for Federal and State income taxes. Our Foundation was established to permit gifts to be made to historic buildings, the 32nd degree Masonic Learning Center, Scholarships, and other Valley of Cleveland charities. Through generous donations from some of our brethren, the Foundation has been able to place air conditioning and new carpet in the DeMolay Room and to remodel one of our other meeting rooms. We still have a long way to go in the remodeling process. The Trustees have identified several more projects for which the Valley presently has no funds available to complete. We need help from all of our brethren to achieve our goal of completing the above projects. Above is a donation form to use in making a donation to the Foundation. Please review your finances and help the Valley. For anyone wishing to name the Foundation in their will or by a Charitable Trust, please call the Scottish Rite office.
