Valley of Cleveland

and Supreme Council
Blue Envelope Abbott Appeal
Twelve students will receive scholarship grants from the Valley of Cleveland through funds derived through the Supreme Council Blue Envelope Appeal and the Ross R. Black Scholarship Fund. The grants for 2002-2003 total $11,000.
The Supreme Council Abbott Scholarships are a result of donations made by the brethren of the Valley of Cleveland to the annual Supreme Council Blue Envelope Appeal. Donation requests were made for your support by the Supreme Council recently. The scholarships are given to qualified students in recognition of scholastic and all-around achievement in their schools. The goal of the scholarships is to help young people fulfill their career goals by assisting them financially as they further their education beyond high
school.
The Ross Ross R. Black Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Ill... Ross R. Black, 33°, Past Chairman of the Valley of Cleveland Board of Trustees. The scholarships were established in memory of Illustrious Brother Black who passed away in 1996. Students receiving Supreme Council Abbott Foundation Scholarships include:
Gretchen N. Streiff • Mentor
Gretchen is a graduate of Mentor High School in Mentor, Ohio. She is the daughter of Gary, a Master Mason and member of the Valley of Cleveland, and Margaret Streiff, and the granddaughter of Clayton Streiff a member of the Valley of Madison, Wisconsin. Gretchen will attend Rice University in Houston, Texas preparing for a career as a
Counseling Psychologist. She receives a $1,000 Scholarship from the Abbott Scholarship
Fund.
Meghan E. Campbell • Cincinnati
Meghan is as graduate of Ursuline Academy of Cincinnati. She is the the daughter of Hugh and Cheryl Campbell and the granddaughter of Robert Kaderavek, a member of the Valley of Cleveland. She will attend the University of Tennessee. Meghan will prepare for a career in Graphic Design. She receives a $1,000 Abbott
Scholarship.
Lisa J. Cawrse • Willowick
Lisa is a graduate of North High School n Eastlake, Ohio. She is the daughter of Dean, a Master Mason and Marsha Cawrse, and the granddaughter of Alan E. Cawres, a member of the Valley of Cleveland. Lisa will attend Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, Otterbein or Ohio Northern Universities. She will prepare for a career as a Graphic Artist. She receives a $1,000 Abbott
Scholarship.
Melissa L. Cazan • Parma
Melissa is a graduate of Valley forge High School in Parma. She is the daughter of David, a Master Mason and member of the Valley of Cleveland, and Gloria Cazan. She will be a freshman at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland or the University of Akron. She will seek a career in Elementary Education. Melissa receives a $1,000 scholarship from the Abbott Scholarship
Fund.
Alexis K. Dvorak • LaGrange
Alexis is a graduate of Keystone High School in LaGrange, Ohio. She is the daughter of Karel, a Master Mason and a member of the Valley of Cleveland, and Fawn Dvorak, and the granddaughter of Eugene Dvorak, a member of the Valley of Cleveland. She will be a freshman at Ohio State University this fall where she will pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine Alexis receives a $1,000 scholarship from The Abbott Scholarship
Fund.
Lauren K. Eble • Mentor
Lauren is a graduate of Mentor High School in Mentor, Ohio. She is the daughter of David and Gayle Eble, and the granddaughter of Carl J. Eble a member of the Valley of Cleveland. Lauren is planning to attend Ohio State University where she will prepare for a career in Communications and Political Science before entering Law School. She receives a $1,000 Abbott Scholarship
grant.
Chad M. Hawley • Zanesville
Chad is a graduate of West Muskingham High School in Zanesville, Ohio. He is the son of Mike and Diane Hawley and the grandson of Charles E. Hawley, a member of the Valley of Cleveland. He will attend Capital University in Columbus, Ohio where he will pursue a career in Education. Chad receives a $1,000 Grant in Aid from the Abbott Scholarship
Fund.
Lauren R. Null • Elyria
Lauren is a graduate of Elyria High School in Elyria, Ohio. She is the daughter of David and Rene Null, and the granddaughter of Robert Null, a member of the Valley of Cleveland. She will be a freshman at Butler University in Indianapolis this fall majoring in Professional Dancing. She receives a $1,000 Abbott Scholarship Foundation
Scholarship.
Lauren E. Epp • North Royalton
Lauren is a graduate of North Royalton High School in North Royalton, Ohio. She is the daughter of Raymond, a Mason and member of the Valley of Cleveland, and Anita Epp. She will be a freshman at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea this fall. She will pursue a career as an Investigator with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She receives a $750 Ross Black Foundation Grant in
Aid.
James E. Grose • South Euclid
James is a graduate of Brush High School, in Lyndhurst, Ohio. He is the son of Robert and Linda Grose, and the grandson of Wilfrid Grose, a member of the Valley of Cleveland. He will attend Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio training for a career as a Policeman and Law Enforcement. James receives a $750 grant in Aid from the Ross R. Black Scholarship
Foundation.
Joseph R. Rehnert • Fairview Park
Joseph is a graduate of Fairview High School in Fairview Park, Ohio. He is the son of Thomas, a Mason and member of the Valley of Cleveland, and Marian Rehnert. Joseph will be attending Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio this fall. He is seeking a career in Criminal Justice. Joseph receives a $750 Ross R. Black Scholarship Foundation Grant in
Aid.
Nikol I. Stefanos • Strongsville
Nikol is a graduate of Magnificat High School in Rocky River, Ohio. He is the son of Joseph and Vaso Karras- Stefanos, and the grandson of John A. Karras, a member of the Valley of Cleveland. He will be a freshman at John Carroll University in Cleveland this fall. Nikol is planning on a career in medicine. Nikol receives a $750 Grant in Aid from the Ross R. Black Scholarship Foundation.
