MEDINA SCOTTISH RITE
SOCIETY By Russell
Palmateer
The annual dinner meeting of the Medina County Scottish Rite Society was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at the Medina Masonic Temple. The ladies of the Medina O.E.S. no. 266 served a fine meal of pork chops, potato, hot vegetable, cole slaw, rolls, sherbet, cookie and beverage that the members and guests thoroughly enjoyed. Many thanks to Lois Thomas and her crew. The dining room was full. Every table was taken with the announced attendance of 71 masons and guests. This included thirteen Valley officers (Past and Present). We were pleased that these brethren and their wives could join us on the occasion of our annual meeting. After dinner, we gathered in the Medina Masonic Temple Lodge Room where our President, David Kurtz, presented the entertainment for the evening, a barbershop quartet. The program of harmonious singing was excellent and everyone was singing along. We hated to have them end their program. If you need excellent entertainment that is really super, this is the group you’ll want. Call Dave Kurtz for their phone number. The annual meeting was then called to order with our Secretary/Treasurer Roger Edgington reading the minutes of last year’s meeting. During the committee reports, the Nominating Committee Chairman, Russ Palmateer, introduced his committee of S. Thomas Repp, and Kenneth Crouse. The following officers nominated for the 2002-2003 year is as listed at the right of this story. The Installing team consisted of Ill... John H.
