“Yesterday to Today” program to highlight September
meeting
By Janice Herbst It is hard to believe that summer is almost over. School will soon be in session and the beautiful sights of Fall are just around the corner. All of our activities are about to begin. Speaking of that, our Fall Luncheon meeting is Tuesday, September 10th at the Cleveland Masonic Center 3615 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. The luncheon begins at 12 noon and we invite all the ladies of brethren in the valley to attend our luncheons and enjoy our entertainment, friendship, and fellowship. We most certainly invite the ladies of the newest members of the Valley to join us. We know you will have a great time. Our entertainment for the September meeting will be Daniel Buttolph’s Nostalgic Productions...”Bringing Yesterday to Today.” He will present a talk on “Remembering Radio”. Some of you may have already seen his show and were greatly pleased. We are sure you will enjoy his presentation at our luncheon meeting. Plan on being with us. Luncheon reservations are a must. The cost of the luncheon is $6.00 per person. You can make a reservation by mail using the form below, or by calling the Valley of Cleveland office at (216) 432-2370. When making a reservation by telephone, please make every effort to attend. If you cannot attend for some unforeseen circumstance, please call the office before Friday, September 6th to cancel your reservation. Reservations made, not cancelled, result in your Association having to pick up the cost of your reservation. * * * If you need transportation to our luncheon, you can call Carol Garnons at (440) 943-1189 and she will help you get a ride. * * * Dues of $5.00 are due and payable for the 2002-2003 year. Please see our Treasurer Elaine Smith to take care of this business. * * * The Ladies’ Association is still accepting clean used clothing for needy brethren in northeastern Ohio. If you have recently cleaned out closets, etc, and have items you wish to dispose of, please bring them to our next meeting. Help is available to bring the clothing into the building if needed. See the office when you arrive and tell them you need help with the clothing items you are donating. They will be happy to give you assistance.
