Scottish Rite Ladies’ Association Winter meeting set for February 11th By Janice Herbst, President
What a great day it was! What a great luncheon we had! What great entertainment that uplifted all of us to greater heights. The Scottish Rite Ladies Association quarterly luncheon was held Tuesday, November 12th. It was great to see so many members turn-out and enjoy our program featuring “The Grant & Sally Ministries”, a Christian Musical Duo based in Loudenville, Ohio. The two troubadours for Christ, compose and arrange all the music they sing, bring a refreshing breath of the Spirit wherever they are invited to present their hour-long musical services. They have traveled all over the United States, challenging, encouraging and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song and ministry.“ Grand & Sally” openly and sincerely share their hearts for the Lord, their journeys of faith telling how He has touched their lives. The people of the Scottish Rite Ladies’ Association were blessed and impacted through the committed lives and ministry of “ Grant & Sally”. * * * On November 22 and 23, The Scottish Rite Ladies Association manned the Coat Check Room for the Fall 2002 Scottish Rite Reunion. We worked for tips from the brethren of the valley and raised over $146 for the 32° Masonic Learning Center for Children. I want to thank everyone who helped out on Friday evening and all day Saturday. * * * The next meeting of the Scottish Rite Ladies’ Association will be held on February 11, 2003. We hope that you will put that date on your calendar now so you won’t forget it. Wear something red as we will be featuring a program on Valentine’s Day. Also we will enjoy another wonderful luncheon and enjoy old and new friendships. If you like, bring along a friend to join in our fun. Perhaps they might even be interested in becoming a member. I always look forward to greeting you. If you have not submitted your dues to The Scottish Rite Ladies’ Association as yet, please see Elaine Smith at our February meeting to take care of this necessary business. Dues still remain at $5.00 per year. NEW MEMBERS WELCOME! All wives, widows, sisters, daughters, daughters-in-law and friends of Valley of Cleveland members are welcome sand cordially invited to attend our meetings. If your are not a member, our dues are $5.00 per year. Why not join us and enjoy meeting some great gals. We’re looking forward to greeting you at our luncheons. * * * We are still accepting good clean winter clothing for needy persons throughout northeastern Ohio. Bring your clothing donations to the Cleveland Masonic Center at our next meeting. Tell the office you have clothing and assistance will be provided to take the items into the building. * * * It is hard to believe we are in a New Year. But time does not stand still. May the year 2003 be good to you and may God’s Angels watch over you. (JH)
