Valley Travelers head for
Montreal in July 2003 The busy and very enjoyable holiday season is over and the new year is upon us. It is time to think ahead to warm sunny days of summer and your vacation. This year the Valley Travelers have planned a combined rail, motor coach tour of Montreal, Quebec and the Charlevoix Region of Canada. Since this involves travel in Canada, you will need proof of citizenship, such as a U. S. Passport, either current or expired, or a certified birth certificate and a photo
I.D. Our excursion begins on Monday, July 14th and returns on Saturday, July 19th. The details of the trip are as

6:30 a.m. -- Leave BRT Garage and head for Toronto. (Passengers from Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula Counties should contact Carole James about pickup along
I90.
3:30 p.m.-- Meet and Greet Service at Union Train Station (on Board
Escort).
5:00 p.m.--Via First Class Train Service from Toronto to Montreal. Included is dinner on the
Train.
8:59 p.m.-- Arrival in Montreal. Overnight at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel. Assistance with check-in to pre-registered
rooms. Day 2--Tuesday July 15 (B.

7:30 p.m.--Full American breakfast at Hotel. Luggage service and
check-out.
8:30 a.m.--Guided Tour of Montreal.
9:00 a.m. --Arrive at Sanctuary Notre Dame.
9:30 a.m.--Montreal is the heartland of French-Canadian Society and the unofficial commercial and cultural capital of French Canada. Montreal provides and amazing glimpse into the old world of French North America with its excellent restaurants, French Theater and Arts Education Institutions, Olympic Stadium, Mount Royal and St. Joseph’s
Oratory.
11:30--Lunch on your own in Old Montreal.
1:00 p.m.--Depart by Motorcoach to Charlevoix.
6:00 p.m.-- Assisted check into the Hotel Manior Charlevoix in La Malbaie,
Quebec
7:00 p.m.-- Dinner in the Hotel (pre-set menu). Day 3--Wednesday, July 16

8:00 a.m. -- Full American Breakfast in Hotel. Luggage service and group
check-out.
9:00 a.m. -- Depart by Motorcoach to Quebec City.
10:00 a.m. --Arrive at Saint De Beaupre Church. Popular belief is that St. Anne had saved numerous shipwreck victims off Cape Tourmente and a chapel dedicated to her existed in this village as early as 1658. More than 1.5million pilgrims make their way to the Bacilica on the Cote-de-Beaupre each year to pray to the mother of the Virgin
Mary.
11:00 a.m.--Enjoy a gourmet meal at Chez Marie. On the way, see a 150 year old bread oven and stone dwelling dating back to 1652. Treat yourself to some fresh bread, jelly and maple
products.
12 noon-- Admission to Culvres d’art Albert Gillies & Museum to see embossed and enameled copper. “The Christorama” one of the two museums depicts the life of Christ in 50 hand wrought silver panels. On the route to Quebec City you view Montmorency
Falls.
3:00 p.m.-- Check into Chateau Laurier in Quebec City, our home for two nights. Assisted check-in to pre-registered rooms. Dinner on your
own. Day 4--Thursday, July 17

8:30 a.m.--Depart by Motorcoach for Kingston, Ontario. Lunch on your own
enroute. Valley Travelers schedule trip to Montreal, Canada, July 14-193:00 p.m.-- Check into Radisson Hotel Harbourfront in Kingston,
Ontario.
6:30 p.m.--Three hour Kingston-1000 Island Dinner Cruise with entertainment. An
exceptional evening of dining, live entertainment, and dancing under the
stars. Day 6--July 19th (B)
8:00 a.m.-- Full American Breakfast in the Hotel. Luggage service and group check-out and depart for home. We will make rest stops along the way and stops for lunch and dinner. We plan to arrive home in the late evening. The above itinerary is confirmed. However,
itineraries can be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and conditions beyond our control. The cost of the trip is $920 per person double occupancy; single occupancy is $1185, and triple occupancy is $853 per
person.
Included in the cost of the trip is:
1. Round trip Deluxe Motorcoach transportation.
2. One-Way Via First Class train service from Toronto to Montreal including dinner on the
train.
3. Five nights Four Star Hotel accommodations. (including taxes).
4. Five breakfasts, two dinners (including taxes and gratuities).
5. Admissions, tickets and fees to all attractions (Inc. taxes).
6. Luggage handling at hotels and from coach to train and train to hotel, one (1) bag per
person.
7. Professional Cantours, Inc. Onboard Escort from Toronto to Kingston.
8. Tips for all tour guides, escorts and driver. We have 50 seats available. To make a reservation,
print and fill out the reservation form at the bottom of this page and send it with a check made out to The Scottish Rite/Valley of Cleveland for the appropriate down payment, to: John Youngblood, Secretary, 3615 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115. Seats on all Valley Travels trips are assigned on a first come....first served receipt of reservation and required down payment. Telephone reservations cannot be accepted. As in the past, we have set up a payment schedule for your convenience. Equal payments of the balance are due on the first of March, April, May and the final payment in full on June 1st. For reservations made after March 1st, the down payment per person is $120 plus the March 1st payment to be current with the payment schedule. The cancellation policy is a full refund if canceled on or before May 1, 2003. After May 1, 2003, a $25 service fee will be charged. After June 1, 2003, a replacement passenger must be found before any refund can be made. Of course, any time a replacement is found, a full refund will be made.
