Valley annual meeting May
5th
Installation of officers for 2003-2004 term
to follow election
Official notice of the annual meeting of The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in the Valley of Cleveland on Monday evening, May 5th, is hereby given to all members. The meeting will be held in the Ill.:. Everett W. Allen, 33° room in the Cleveland Masonic Center, 3615 Euclid Avenue in
Cleveland.
The annual meeting is similar to a corporate shareholders meeting when those responsible for the operation of the organization report on the progress to date. As shareholders in the Scottish Rite, all members should be present to exercise their voice in the future of the
valley.
Edwin A. Strauss, Jr., Thrice Potent Master of Eliadah Lodge of Perfection, will preside at the meeting. The agenda has been carefully planned to assure a well-organized session. Reports will be given by the secretary, Ill.·. John H. Youngblood, 33°, Ill.·. Wilbur B. Smith, 33°, Treasurer, and other committee chairmen.
The principal order of business is the election of officers for 2003-2004. Officers will be elected to the lines of Eliadah Lodge of Perfection, Ariel Chap-ter, Rose Croix, Bahurim Council, Princes of Jerusalem, and Lake Erie
Consistory.
Following the election, the officers for 2003-2004 will be installed into their respective offices.

A FEW WORDS!
Make a New Years’s resolution to support Charitable Giving in Valley
By Ill... John W. Young, 33°, Chair
AASR Charitable Giving Committee
"Ah, Those New Year's Resolutions..."
Question: I have so many things on my list of New Year's Resolutions. Which resolutions are the most important and will I keep
them?
Answer: Studies show that one-quarter of people break their New Year's promises in the first two weeks and another 66 percent have given up on their goals after just two months. The majority of people who are left, drop off after that and regretfully the promises are never achieved. We all want to resolve to achieve our life and financial goals which are intertwined.
We resolve to get our money under control so we can achieve some life goals; i.e., travel, education, vacations, a new car--or how about Scottish Rite charities?
Whatever your situation is with money, your real New Year's resolution should be to discover the truth about money. Do we spend money impulsively or unfocused? I think you'll agree one thing we want is to do good deeds with our
money.
So, how about Charitable Giving? Money donated to Scottish Rite Charities, like the 32° Masonic Learning Centers for Children with dyslexia, can be one of your life goals and will ensure a genuinely good
deed.
Resolve to give our Valley Secretary a phone call today for more information on 32° Charitable Giving opportunities. You'll feel good about the money you donate--I guarantee it!
