MEDINA COUNTY SCOTTISH RITE SOCIETY!

Ladies will eat free at March meeting at Western Reserve Masonic Community
in Medina

By Russell Palmateer
 Society Scribe

The January 22, 2003 meeting of the Medina County Scottish Rite Society was held in Seville at the Seville Masonic Temple. Even with the cold and all the steep steps to get up to the lodge room, we had a good turn out.

There were more than 40 members at our meeting. Most were accompanied by their wives which made for an interesting evening full of friendships and getting to see one another again.

The Seville O.E.S. had a good hot supper for the Society and we all enjoyed their efforts. As I looked around the room there were seven past Society Presidents---including one who was President back in the 1970s, Illustrious Brother Charles Hawley, 33°, and his wife Sue. It was really great to have these people come out for our programs. We all appreciate it.

So with twelve present and Past Valley Officers, we actually filled the sidelines of the lodge room. Ill... John H. Youngblood, 33°, our Valley Secretary, discussed the upcoming events of the valley (read your Scottish Rite News).

Our program for the evening was a Retirement Counselor who did a great job of explaining just what the new Western Reserve Masonic Community Campus in Medina is all about. It was entertaining and informative.

This evening coincided with the program for our next meeting on Wednesday, March 26th. We will be going to the Western Reserve Masonic Community, Inc. which is located at 4931 Nettleton Road in Medina. (Mark this address down brethren so you’ll know where to go).

There will be more information that Roger Edgington, our Secretary, will be sending out...the best part is THE LADIES WILL EAT FREE.

Put this evening in your plans and come join us. The food is sure to be great...and the tour of the facility is a must for all masons. Our 1st Vice President Robert Odin, who is in charge of the planning the dinner and the tour after dinner, guarantees it.

Nine guests, including several officers, came from the Valley of Cleveland to be with us.
