In recent columns I have discussed issues on the general topic of Masonic Leadership. This subject led me to a quick "read" of the recently issued 2003 22nd Masonic District Directory. In it, we find the names listed of those who are active as leaders in the Lodges, Chapters of Royal Arch, Councils of Royal and Select Masons, and Commanderies of Knights Templar, as well as other organizations within the Masonic Family. We also find that many of these leaders happen to be active members of the Scottish Rite Chorus, and we congratulate them on the examples they set for us all:

Horace "Hob" Miller, Worshipful Master of Collinwood Lodge.

David Fink, Secretary of Edwin S Griffiths Lodge.

Herb Scott, President of the Masonic Senior Citizen Club of Lyndhurst.

Kenneth R Hershman, High Priest of Corwin-Webb Chapter RAM

Darrell E Reed, Ill. Master of Painesville Council R&SM

It is readily apparent that our guys in the Chorus are among the most active, contributing, and sustaining members of Freemasonry in northeast Ohio, and that the group that assembles at 3615 Euclid on Tuesday nights is there not because they have nothing better to do than sit at home and watch TV, but because they have special skills and talents which they voluntarily place at our disposal in spite of their already hectic schedules.

Why don't you consider joining us on Tuesdays?? It's a great way to get to know some of the real "movers and shakers" within the Craft, and we have a lot of fun doing it. We will begin our regular rehearsals on Tuesday February 25th, and "straight on 'til morning", as Peter Pan said. We had a wonderful time at the Fall Reunion last November, and also a great time singing for the Installation of Officers at University Heights Lodge in December. We look forward to upcoming performances in the spring, including the Feast of the Paschal Lamb and our Spring Reunion, and other performances for various Masonic events. The only thing that could make our pleasure more complete would be to have you here with us. We will be welcoming several new members We will be welcoming several new members this spring - wouldn't you like to be one of them??

Freemasonry is alive, and vital, and active, and pulsating with riches and pleasures beyond any dream or description. So Mote it Be!!
