Feast of Paschal Lamb and Passover
program presented

The 66th observance of the solemn Feast of the Paschal Lamb was presented by the officers of Ariel Chapter, Rose Croix, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cleveland, Palm Sunday April 13th, 2003.

Presiding over the impressive Lenten and Passover service was Alan W. Jones, Most Wise Master of Ariel Chapter.

The Memorial Address was presented by Rev. and Dr. Russell E. Martin, Pastor of the Brecksville United Methodist Church.

His address was centered on “Deliverance”...that of the Hebrew people from the Egyptians, and “Deliverance” of Christians from Sin when Jesus died on the Cross.”
Music for the service was provided by Rev. Gary Streiff, on the magnificent Scottish Rite Theater organ, and the Scottish Rite Chorus under the Direction of Marvin Price.
Selections sung by the famed chorus included “The Lord’s Prayer”, a beautiful solo by Ill... Marvin Price, 33°, The King of Love My Shepherd is” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”
The audience participated in the singing of two hymns, “The Lamb of God” and “In The Cross of Christ I Glory”.

Rev. Streiff, Pastor of the Mentor United Methodist Church, selected two compositions for his portion of the service: The organ Prelude “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and as the postlude, “The Hallelujah Chorus,” with the Shrine Brass.

The presentation of the Memorial Roll Call in the form of a scroll, contained the names of 248 Scottish Rite brethren who have Passed to the Celestial Lodge Above during the past year.

A reception for Rev. Martin and the officers of Ariel Chapter, Rose Croix followed the service.

The Feast of the Paschal Lamb is an annual event on the calendar of the Valley of Cleveland.

The Shrine Brass: front, Peter Vincent; back: Shawn Driscoll, Roy Hawthorne, and Dick Howard augmented the Scottish Rite organ in the singing of hymns and the music of the chorus. They played an big part in the postlude “Hallelujah Chorus”.	Ill... Wilbur B. Smith, 33°, presents the Mystic Scroll, as a representation of brethren who died in 2002-2003. The Feast of the Paschal Lamb is an annual presentation of Ariel Chapter, Rose Croix.
