 Spring 2003 Reunion honors
Illustrious Glenn J. Bollinger, 33°
777

Ill... Glenn J. Bollinger, 33°, for whom the Spring Class of 2003 was named, welcomes Eric Strauss into the Spring Class of candidates of the Valley of Cleveland. Eric is the 3rd generation mason to be affiliated with the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite following his father and grandfather, Edwin A. Strauss, Sr. At right is Edwin A. Strauss, Jr. Thrice Potent Master of Eliadah Lodge of Perfection, Eric’s father.

60 brethren, now Sublime Princes of the Royal Secret, received the degrees of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite at a one-day reunion, Saturday, April 26th in the Cleveland Masonic Center. The Spring 2003 Reunion Class was named in honor of Ill... Glenn J. Bollinger, a Past Sovereign Prince of Bahurim Council, Princes of Jerusalem, Valley of Cleveland.

The class received the perfectly staged degrees, presented by the proficient and dedicated officers all on one day. Since time is valuable, many of the candidates expressed their thanks in allowing them to start their travels through Scottish Rite Masonry in such a manner thus leaving them more time for other important items in their lives. They vowed to return and receive the remaining 25 degrees as they are presented.

The degrees of the Scottish Rite were complemented by the Scottish Rite chorus directed by Chester Willey.

Also adding to the degree presentation was the music played on the Scottish Rite organ by Rev. Gary Streiff.

Degrees presented at the abbreviated reunion included:
14th Degree...presented by the officers of Eliadah Lodge of Perfection with Edwin A. Strauss, Jr. presiding.
16th Degree...presented by Bahurim Council Princes of Jerusalem, officers Robert R. Childers, Presiding and members of the Mummer’s Club.
18th Degree...presented by the officers of Ariel Chapter Rose Croix, Alan W. Jones, Most Wise Master presiding.
32nd Degree...presented by Lake Erie Consistory, officers Ronald R. Ebert Presiding, and members of the Valley of Cleveland Mummer’s Club.

The reunion luncheon featured the recognition of distinguished brethren of the valley; remarks from Mark Bollinger, a thank you from Ill... Glenn J. Bollinger, 33°, Class Honoree, and Ill... Robert J. Hibjan, 33°, Deputy’s Representative to the Valley of Cleveland. Luncheon entertainment was by the Al Koran Shrine Band, directed by Paul Lawrence.

The business of the reunion included:
• 217 Total attendance.
• 1 Visitor from another valley.
• Thirty-Two 33rd Degree Masons
• 12 Meritorious Service Awardees.
• 28 Past presiding officers of
