32° MASONIC LEARNING CENTER

Victor Frederick completes 49 state
“Ride for Dyslexic Children”

Victor Frederick upon his arrival at the The Cleveland Masonic Center. Victor was on final leg of his Masonic Learning Center’s Ride for Dyslexia covering 49 states. He raised over $10,000 for Dyslexic children on his ride.

Guess who came to breakfast July 11, 2003. It was Victor Frederick, a mason from Reading, Pennsylvania, who joined over 50 masons of the Valley of Cleveland and many guests in welcoming Victor to the Valley of Cleveland after completing a 31 day 49 state motorcycle ride to benefit the 32° Masonic Learning Center and their fight against dyslexia.
Victor Frederick is a man of vision that has applied his talents to serve children with the learning disorder Dyslexia. His Scottish Rite Valley of Reading supports a Learning Center. Through his ride, Victor hoped to bring attention to this very worthwhile cause.

Victor’s Masonic career is long and distinguished. He served as Worshipful Master of Mount Pickering Lodge no. 4 in 1983 and is a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Reading and served as Thrice Potent Master during the 2000-2001 term. He is also a member of the York Rite.

He is a member and co-founder of Hiram’s Scottish Riders, a motorcycle club within the Valley of Reading. The purpose of the club is to bring Master Masons together and encourage Scottish Rite Masonry. The Club’s objective is to raise funds for the Reading 32° Children’s Learning Center.

Victor has been riding since the late 1990s. He is married to Mickie who supports his efforts. He is employed by Utility Line Services as a Manager.

Then it was on to South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, the south through Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and then headed for the Midwest with stops in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Then it was on to Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and California.

He took a day off his travels for rest and vehicle maintenance in Las Vegas.
His next destination was the Great North West including stops at Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Washington where he crossed the border into Canada at Sumas, through British Columbia to Alaska, Calgary, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and then into Ohio and the Cleveland Masonic Center.

His mileage for the entire trip was approximately 11284.6 miles. He officially ended his journey in Seven Springs on Saturday, July 12th to be greeted by many of his friends who had been following his travels for the past 31 days.

While in Cleveland, Victor spent quality time with Learning Center students. He also talked about his travels to many of the brethren and their ladies, the Learning Centers he visited and some of the problems he encountered on his sojourn. He raised over $10,000 for the 32° Masonic Learning Center program during the ride.
