A FEW WORDS!

Learning Your ABC's

By Ill.·. John W. Young, 33°, Chair
AASR Charitable Giving Committee

A B C D E F G--how did you learn your ABC's? You didn't just wake up one morning and know them. Was it with the help of that simple familiar musical jingle? "A B C D...now I know my ABC's, next time won't you sing with me?"

Singing the ABC song over and over led to a life long learning experience. Could we apply that principle of repetition in learning to our 32° Masonic Charitable giving? YES! As we donate over and over we indeed develop a life-long charitable practice.

A B C D E F G--next time won't you GIVE with me? Repetitive giving to 32° Masonic Charities, such as our Learning Centers for Dyslexic Children, truly becomes as easy as ABC!

Masonic Float wins 2nd place trophy in Wellington parade

By Delbert Mohrman

The officers of Wellington Lodge, most of who are members of the Valley of Cleveland, fabricated a mobile float for the 4th of July Parade in Welling-ton, Ohio and came away with a 2nd place trophy for the best in the show for “The Best Presentation of Ohio’s Historic Organizational Heritage.”

In the photo (at below), items that were used to decorate the float consisted of Lodge Furniture were carried down three flights of stairs to be mounted securely to a beautifully decorated farm trailer. On the rear of the trailer back drop was mounted a large 5 ft. by 10 ft. American Flag signifying patriotism.

Building the float were W.B. George Gardner, Delbert Mohrman, Scott Loudin, Calvin Woods and Howard Jameyson.

Several brethren of the Scottish Rite/Valley of Cleveland participated in a parade in Wellington on July 4. Standing on the float sponsored by Wellington Lodge no. 127 are W.B. Howard Jameyson, Richard Williams, Howard Merrill, and W. B. Delbert Mohrman. The brethren on the float have a combined active Masonic membership of 209 years.
