2nd District DeMolay awards
DeMolay International, 2nd District, invested the Legion of Honor upon five area residents, including three brethren from the Valley of Cleveland, at the Cleveland Masonic Center on Saturday, September 20, 2003. Scottish Rite Masons receiving the special DeMolay Award were Ill.·. Robert J. Hibjan, 33°, of Solon, James T. Schultz of Parma, (Honorary Legion of Honor) and Clarence C. Cudney (Active Legion of Honor) of North Olmsted. Other Masonic area brethren receiving the award were Randall K. Jameson of Willoughby, and Lyle C. Jensen of Parma Heights. (Active Legion of Honor). Illustrious Brother Robert J. Hibjan, 33°, was Master of Acacia Lodge no. 651 (formerly Silver Cord) in 1979 and 1980. He is also a member of Mount Olive Chapter, R.A.M., Woodward Council R. & S. M., and Couer DeLion Commandery. He affiliated with the Valley of Cleveland in 1975 and served as Sovereign Prince of Bahurim Council, Princes of Jerusalem in 1989-90. He is a Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 22nd Masonic District, a KYCH and is presently Deputy’s Representative for 320 Freemasons, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction for the State of Ohio. He is President of Blue Ribbon Machinery. James T. Schultz is a two time Master of John W. Barkley Lodge no. 621. He is also a member of Corwin-Webb Chapter, R.A.M., Forest City Council, R. & S.M., and Forest City Commandery no. 40. He affiliated with the Valley of Cleveland in 1987 and is Junior Warden of Bahurim Council, Princes of Jerusalem. He recently retired to play golf. Lawrence Cudney is a Past Master of John W. Barkley Lodge no. 621 serving in 1995-96. He affiliated with the Scottish Rite in 1994. He is a Past Master Councilor of Denbrook Chapter, Order of DeMolay, and a member of Senior Mark Master Lodge no. 2. Randall K. Jameson is Worshipful Master of Willoughby Loge no. 302. He is employed by Applied Industrial Technologies as a PC Support Technician. He is a graduate of Bowling Green University, and has a M.B.A. from University of Northern Colorado. Lyle C. Jensen is a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge no. 145 in Jamestown, N. Y. and a member of Jamestown Chapter, Order of DeMolay, in 1950s. He is a professor at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea. He is a graduate of State University of N.Y. at Buffalo where he received his PhD. Others who received DeMolay Active Legion of Honor Awards at the Investiture were Richard A. Grater, II of Cincinnati, Talmadge J. Smith, Jr., of Fairborn. Ray B. Stockslager of New Lebanon received the Honorary Legion of Honor. District Governor of the DeMolay Second District is Martin R.
