at Al Koran Shrine

Brethren, you are cordially invited to attend the 15th annual Valley of Cleveland Dinner/Dance at The Al Koran Shrine Ball Room in Broadview Heights on January 17, 2004. Host for the evening will be the officers of Ariel Chapter, Rose Croix.

The social hour begins at 6:00 pm. with a buffet style dinner being served at 7:00 p.m.

Non-member guests are welcome to share in the festivities according to David W. Leifer, Most Wise Master of Ariel Chapter, Rose Croix. He said “we have planned for a great time at this year’s Dinner/Dance at the Al Koran Shrine Mosque. The entertainment features John Blackiston who had a great program last year. He’ll be back this year, for your listening and dancing pleasure, for what is expected to be one of the valley’s great fun nights.”

The cost for this fantastic evening is only $30.00 per person and since seating is available to only 150 guests, an early sell-out is expected. Make your reservations today.

Tickets may be ordered by using the reservation form found by clicking here in this issue of the Scottish Rite News, or by picking up your tickets at the Valley of Cleveland office during regular business hours.

When ordering your tickets by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to assure proper ticket distribution.

Music will be provided by the Scottish Rite Chorus, directed by Chester F. Willey.

Members and guests are invited to attend this moving ceremony. No admission will be charged or offering taken.

Mark you calendar now and attend this Family Life Program . You will be richly rewarded by your attendance.

7th and 24th degrees to be presented following valley meetings

The 32° Masons Four Coordinate Body meetings, to be held February 2, 2004, and March 1, 2004 will feature the portrayal of the 7th and 24th Degrees. The 7th degree is entitled “Prince of the Tabernacle”. It was last presented as part of the Spring 1997 Reunion. It will be presented February 2nd.

The 24th Degree entitled “Provost and Judge”, presented in the Spring 1998 Reunion, is scheduled for March 1.

The goal of the Supreme Council/Northern Jurisdiction and the Valley of Cleveland, beginning in April 2000, is that every member should have the opportunity to view all the degrees of 320 Masonry in a timely manner. Brethren who view all the degrees presented will be recognized by Supreme Council.

In order to complete the Supreme Council Degree Program, additional degree presentations have been made. The presentations have eliminated the need of going into other jurisdictions to observe a degree that you may need to complete your program.

The extra degree presentations will help to make it possible for the 320 Masons of the Valley to achieve an additional two portions of viewing all 29 Scottish Rite Degrees.

Six of the degrees (14-15-16-17-18-& 32) are usually presented at the semi-annual reunions held in the spring and fall. Another two degrees are usually portrayed as well.

We hope that many of you can make it to both degree presentations. Attend the monthly Four Coordinate Body meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m., greet your brethren, and see a degree that hasn’t been performed in the Valley of Cleveland for several years.

Be sure to get your Passport signed so you can complete your Log Book as you travel through Scottish Rite Masonry.

FAMILY LIFE WEEK PROGRAM
CHILDREN’S
HOLIDAY PARTY

DECEMBER 7, 2003

Jennifer Black, daughter of Jeff and Janet Black, has her list ready for Santa to look over at the Holiday Party. Many will remember Jennifer as Bernie the Loveable Dinosaur at previous Children's Parties. Jennifer was back enjoying the fun at the program.

Joshua Brogan, grandson of Ted Brogan, is stumped on how Eric Brouman performs his magic at the Children’s Holiday Party. Chairman of the Family Life Week event was David Leifer, Most Wise Master of Ariel Chapter.

Where’s the money? Robert Assankis, nephew of Bob Nimrichter, a member of North Star Lodge, is completely baffled about what happened to some money that magician Eric Brouman put into a bag.
