Holiday greetings!
Our November 11th meeting was full of activity. It opened with a prayer of Thanksgiving and safety for our troops overseas by Celia Lawson which was followed by a welcome to everyone including Shirley Link, that Grand Representative to Michigan from the Grand Chapter of Ohio.
Our special luncheon was Sloppy Joes, vegetable soup and jello with a cookie.
My theme this year is “counting our blessings.” I asked John Youngblood to be a part of our November program with a recitation of “My saucer is full and my cup runneth over.” Thanks John.
Jan Herbst introduced Pam Marshall who entertained us with the history of Teddy Bears. She had several different kinds of Teddy Bears with her. It was very interesting. Some of the ladies brought their favorite Teddy Bears with them and shared with us the history of their bear. Thanks to Carol Garnons who arranged for Pam to be our speaker.
The meeting was closed with a tribute to the American Flag written by our granddaughter, Katie Goodwin. She wrote the tribute when she was Grand American Flag Tribute in The International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was 17 years old at the time.
The next meeting of the Scottish Rite Ladies’ Association will be on February 10, 2004, at 12 noon.

A special thank you goes out to Jan Herbst for the lovely decorations on the tables and to Belle for her assistance in planning my first meeting. Also, thanks to all the ladies who helped to serve and to all those who made the delicious sandwiches that were served at the 330 Reception honoring Ron Ebert and Alan Jones . Also thanks to the ladies who served hot dogs at the 320 Mason Reunion November 21st and the ladies who manned the coat room for both days of the reunion. (See pictures on this page). All tips received went to the 320 Masonic Learning Center.
We also have been asked to serve at the installation of Roy Hoskins as President of the 22nd District Blue Lodge Association.
