MEDINA COUNTY SCOTTISH RITE SOCIETY! Medina County Scottish Rite Society meets January 28 in Lodi By Russell Palmateer Zeke Arters, our new 3rd Vice President, was chairman of our October meeting at the Western Reserve Masonic Community. As Roger Edgington had asked me to represent him at the meeting, I had the great pleasure, with my wife Mickie, to greet the members and visitors as they arrived at this beautiful meeting place. Our Chaplain for the evening was Dennis Chapman (2nd Vice President) who was on the job because Dennis Lawson, our regular Chaplain, was at a 32° practice. The menu consisted of tossed salad, rolls/butter, assorted beverages, baked ham with pineapple, roast beef with mushroom au jus, french baked potatoes, dilled baby carrots, and desserts of either cheesecake or apple pie. Why do I list this food? Well, I look at it as if this doesn’t make you hungry...something is very wrong!!! So pay attention when I tell you about the October and our January meetings. It was a pleasure to see seven past presidents and five honorary Thirty-Third Degree Masons at the meeting. Thanks for coming and for your support. It is at this point that I would like to thank Suzette Forte (Roger’s daughter) for the dried flower arrangement that was given to one of our ladies in the audience. Each lady received half of a playing card when registering. The other half, through a random drawing, determined the winner. It was a nice touch for the evening. The entertainment was great!!! They were “Southern Cross” a group that consisted of Tamie, Andy, and Don who really played some good ole country music. We thank you for the great show that was greatly appreciated by the members and guests. This is why the Medina County Scottish Rite Society shines when it comes to giving everyone at our meetings a treat. Our next meeting will be January 28, 2004. In charge of the dinner and the entertainment will be 2nd Vice President Dennis Chapman. This will be held at the Lodi Masonic Temple. He is planning a great meal and some other surprises. Please come.
